Professional runners cannot miss the 42 km marathon that takes place in October in the South Chianti region. In 2021 the competitive event will start on Sunday 17th October from Castello del Brolio and will pass through the hills and several vineyards including those of Arceno to end in Castelnuovo Berardenga. Not for the faint hearted.
For those who, instead, wish to enjoy the scenery and the local wines and food, there are alternative events associated with the Ecomaratona such as “Emozioni nelle cantine”, a nice non competitive walk held the previous Saturday.
Enquire with our Concierge, Gaia will be delighted to explain these events in more detail.
