Mulino della Solaia is a beautiful luxurious recent conversion of an old olive oil mill in the hills of Tuscany, south of Siena, with exclusive private garden, swimming pool and spectacular views over a forested valley. Mulino della Solaia is of typical Tuscan construction, stone, chestnut beams and terracotta tiles and is situated within a tiny hamlet not far from the village of Iesa.
Mulino della Solaia has been restored to very high standards with traditional exterior, the interior is tastefully modern, air-conditioned throughout, along with the latest in lighting and eco-friendly heating.
Set over two floors, the mill is an independent building with a huge living area with fireplace. The villa has ceiling height picture windows looking over the sun terrace which runs the length of the mill. It offers a dining room seating ten next to a fully modern kitchen fitted out with all the latest equipment. At the foot of the stairs in the middle of the house is the original millstone. Next to the millstone is a game room and the TV room with ‘smart’ flat screen TV. At one end of the mill is a ground floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The entire ground floor is wheelchair accessible.
On the upper floor a corridor runs the length of the house. At one end is the master bedroom, at the other, a large bedroom with two more bedrooms between them. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with luxuriously modern bathroom fittings. Wifi is accessible throughout the house with ‘Bluetooth’ speakers to stream music or radio shows.
The exclusive pool has a huge deck area equipped with sun loungers, sunshade and tables with outstanding views over the forest, valley and hills in the distance.

Bringing Tuscan Dreams Alive
Arceno Rentals Club provides complimentary Concierge services to enhance our Guests’ experience and to assist them in organising a true Tuscan holiday. Assistance is provided from the moment of the reservation until the end of our Guests’ stay at the property.
Our Guests are assisted by a dedicated English speaking Concierge. Their Tuscan experience may be personalised according to their wishes. Activities may be planned well in advance to ensure the best of all options. Transfers may also be organised. Our Guests are welcomed in person at the Villa and supported on arrival with all necessary information regarding the property and the local surroundings.
During their stay the Guests are able to reach our local Team for assistance at any time.
We wish to make our Guests feel at “home” and enjoy all amenities that Tuscany may offer. A generous complimentaty Welcome Hamper is offered with selected wines and food upon arrival.
Hospitality amenities, (including house wine, spirits, coffee, oil and house consumables), along with selected bathroom toiletries, are provided inclusively throughout the stay.
Initial and final cleaning and daily housekeeping (maximum three hours per day) are always provided, independently from the length of stay. The change of linen is provided every three – four days for stays of at least seven nights or more.
High standards of cleaning are assured following the VRMA “Safe House” standards.

Security deposit to be paid before arrival is € 1000.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION
A partial payment in the amount of 30% of the grand total is due upon booking as a 'caparra confirmatoria', i.e. confirmation deposit. Remaining 70% payment is due no later than 15 days prior to arrival. If the booking is made after the second payment would be due, then this payment will be combined and due together with the first payment. A separate refundable damage deposit is required in the amount of € 1000.00. The damage deposit is payable 15 days prior to arrival. It will be refunded on 14 days after check-out, provided no damages have occured to the property and its content.
As a general policy in case of cancellations notified prior 16 days before arrival, the 30% confirmation deposit will be refunded in full. In case of refund, Arcenorentals shall retain any credit card or bank fees incurred. For cancellations notified from the 15th day before arrival full payment will be due and retained.
We strongly advise that Guests take out insurance (comprehensive) before their arrival. We accept no responsibility for personal injury or loss during your stay. Nor will we accept responsibility for cancellations or delays caused by transport providers, illness, pandemic, riots, war and any unpredictable forces of nature and for inaccessibility of the house due to any of the above reasons. In the latter case our Company will endeavour, if possible, to arrange for an alternative and equivalent accommodation in the area of Castelnuovo Berardenga as we deem it suitable.
Mulino della Solaia lies about twenty kilometres south of Siena in the municipality of Monticiano. The area around the Villa is hilly and forested, there are several nature reserves within walking distance and a short drive away. ‘Riserva Naturale Farma’ to the South, ‘Riserva La Pietra’ and the most famous ‘Riserva Naturale Alto Merse' are a paradise for nature lovers, hill walkers and hikers.
Nearby you find the Spas of Petriolo and Saturnia famous for their hot waters. Montalcino and the Crete region with Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia are a short drive away. The seaside with Castiglione della Pescaia and Argentario is within about an hour. The famous abbey of San Galgano is also a renowned attraction of the area.
